After therapy at GWS Medika, the pain subsided," said Nana. "The therapists were professional and friendly. They also gave useful tips for avoiding future injuries."
When met after providing therapy, Mohammad Raffli explained, "Most runners experience muscle cramps, knee pain, and stiffness due to a lack of warm-up before running." But some need special treatment because they have quite serious injuries."
Meanwhile, the GWS Medika medical team, with several sports medicine and therapy specialist doctors, prepared at the finish line area inside the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium.
They were busy assisting around 50 runners who were injured. "Most runners experience vomiting, muscle cramps, and stomach cramps leading to stiffness, dehydration, and even heat stroke," explained dr. Almer Deta Tarandha from GWS Medika. Some even had to be referred to a referral hospital for further treatment.
