GWS Medika Officially Becomes an American Heart Association Certified BLS Training Institution

In an emergency, every second counts in saving someone's life. Unfortunately, many people do not yet have the skills to provide first aid.
Considering this, GWS Medika is committed to improving the community's knowledge and skills in first aid and providing closer access to professional assistance by presenting the GWS Medika Clinic in the community.
To accomplish this, GWS Medika, in collaboration with Summit Healthcare, held basic life support training for the general public and workers in various public facilities.
This training aims to equip participants with the basic skills to handle emergency conditions before professional medical assistance arrives.
Some of the main materials taught include:
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) techniques to help cardiac arrest victims.
- How to use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED).
- Handling choking situations with the proper techniques.
- First aid for burns, bleeding, and other emergency conditions.
The training will be guided by experienced instructors certified by the American Heart Association (AHA). This organization has become the gold standard in basic life support training in many countries.
In addition, each training participant will receive an official certificate from the American Heart Association, valid in more than 150 countries.
GWS Medika and Summit Healthcare held a signing ceremony on February 27, 2024, at the GWS Medika head office, Sinarmas Land Plaza, Tower 1, Jln. M.H. Thamrin No. 51, Jakarta Pusat, to commemorate this collaboration.
The signing of this cooperation agreement confirms both parties' commitment to increasing public knowledge and skills in dealing with medical emergencies and creating a safer and more responsive environment to emergency conditions.

On the sidelines of the meeting, Novita Ciputra, CEO of Summit Healthcare, expressed her appreciation, “GWS Medika is very concerned about the competence of its health staff. I support this step.”
