GWS Medika Participates in a Nanovest Social Service Event

Nanovest, in collaboration with the Buddha Tzu Chi Foundation Sinarmas Branch, held a social service event at RPTRA Bendungan Hilir. Supported by GWS Medika as the main partner for healthcare services, this event provided tangible benefits to over 100 residents of Bendungan Hilir flats and their surroundings, ranging from health check-ups to the distribution of necessities.

On that cloudy morning, the enthusiasm of over 100 residents of Bendungan Hilir Flats and surrounding areas to attend the social service event organized by Nanovest in collaboration with the Sinarmas Branch of the Tzu Chi Buddha Foundation and GWS Medika.


In the event titled "Nanovest for the Community 2024," GWS Medika appeared as the main partner in the health service sector, offering free health checks to residents in need.


The event was held at the Bendungan Hilir RPTRA (Child-Friendly Integrated Public Space) on Friday (13/12).



CSR closing with social commitment


Nanovest Director, Selly Feransa, said that this event was the conclusion of a series of Nanovest CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) activities in 2024.


"Through this initiative, we want to provide tangible benefits to residents, both their health and economic welfare," said Selly in her speech.


As part of its social contribution, Nanovest handed away a donation of proceeds from the sale of 104 cactus plants worth IDR 28 million and 600 books to the Bendungan Hilir RPTRA management. In addition, programs such as cactus cultivation, study classes for children, and health checks are a real manifestation of Nanovest dedication to supporting the residents of the flats.



GWS Medika: a pillar of health services




In this event, GWS Medika served as a strategic health service provider. In the early morning, the GWS Medika medical team conducted health screening for blood sugar, uric acid, and cholesterol levels. Most patients were adults and elderly with common problems, such as joint pain, high blood pressure, and other metabolic disorders.


They also checked the blood pressure and weight of the social service participants to see if they were still within normal limits.


Health services were a critical aspect of this activity. We aimed to assist residents not only in understanding their health conditions but also by providing solutions through consultations with doctors and appropriate treatment. Additionally, the GWS Medika health team ensured that residents received proper education to maintain their daily health,” said dr. Debora Braviana Tairas.


After checkups, residents were directed to consult directly with the GWS Medika team of doctors. Free medicines were also distributed to those in need.



Health education, added value from GWS Medika


GWS Medika not only conducts examinations but also educates participants on healthy lifestyles, including tips for preventing hypertension and maintaining blood sugar levels. This program is expected to be the initial step toward raising public awareness about the importance of long-term health.


“The services provided by GWS Medika have greatly benefited me. The doctors were friendly, and gave me a thorough explanation of my health condition,” said Mrs. Ningsih, one of the residents who attended this event.



Collaboration for community welfare


This social service event emphasized health and community welfare. The Sinarmas Branch of the Buddha Tzu Chi Foundation also contributed by distributing necessities to residents who attended, enhancing the event’s impact.
