
dr. Christina Zita Manuela Serrano
Dr. Zita is a general practitioner with clinical experience in both Inpatient Care and the Emergency Department at Santo Borromeus Hospital, Bandung. She previously completed her medical internship at Sanjiwani General Hospital, Gianyar, Bali.
In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Zita also serves as a Medical Tutor at UpMeds ID. In this role, she mentors pre-clinical and clinical students, helping them prepare for the National Medical Competency Examination (UKMPPD).
She has a strong passion for improving healthcare accessibility for the Deaf community, focusing on inclusive communication in clinical practice and enhancing health literacy through Indonesian Sign Language (BISINDO).
Her dedication to inclusivity is further reflected in her active involvement as a sign language interpreter within the Deaf community.
She also joined a clinical rotation (student exchange program) at Townsville Hospital, under the Department of Infectious Diseases, James Cook University, Queensland, Australia, where she delivered an oral presentation on “Malaria in Indonesia.”
Dr. Zita holds certifications in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS), strengthening her capability to provide skilled and timely emergency care.
